For the contest ‘the Concrete Chair’ at the faculty of Civil Engineering, TU Delft, I designed this installation together with Ir. R.P. van Oosten.

It symbolises a 3D wave, which is a recurring phenomena in every discipline in civil engineering, though with slightly different meaning in every context. This concrete embodiment offers everyone from different disciplines within civil engineering an oppertunity to be on ‘the same wavelength’ for a few moments. After all, despite their differences, they all belong to the science of civil engineering.

The proposal won the second prize.
